Nicoll Russell Studios were commissioned to enlarge the banking hall and provide new office and meeting accommodation within the Category B listed building in the centre of historic St Andrews. The interior and exterior of the branch were very carefully designed to create an end product that was sympathetic to the existing building but with a contemporary edge. The use of natural materials throughout, and in particular the re‐use of stone crafted alongside steel, glass and timber created a warm and inviting building for staff and customers alike.
