The Scottish School for Contemporary Dance, or The Space as it is better known, is a place for both learning and performance. A flexible auditorium forms the heart of the project, around which the fluid forms of dance studios, social spaces and administrative functions are wrapped. The glazed studios look out over green playing fields adjacent and reveal the student work within. The entire building is designed as a showcase for dance and promenade performance. It has become an extremely popular multi-use venue and a flagship building for Dundee & Angus College.
