St Athernase Church, Leuchars

The restoration of a Category A listed Romanesque church, part of which was constructed in the 12th Century and which has previously been described as ‘the most important place of worship in Scotland`. A full range of conservation measures were undertaken including stabilising the structure, removing dampness and rot, stone repairs and re-pointing, re-slating, new lead-work, monument repairs and a feasibility study for a church hall.
