Nicoll Russell Studios were invited by Howies Restaurants, to re-brand and refurbish 'Gerard's' Restaurant in Aberdeen. Working carefully within the parameters defined by the programme and budget, Nicoll Russell Studios have succeeded to create a popular and sophisticated interior, whilst employing a limited and modest palette of materials.

Particular focus was paid to the design of the furniture and lighting. The selection of furniture contrasts putty coloured leathers with dark walnut stains. Feature lighting and screens have all been purpose designed to reinforce the new brand image and introduce a subtle and understated twist, reflecting the current vogue for 70's retro.
