The building is situated on the location of a previously well established central Broughty Ferry newsagent, in on awkward 'L' shaped site. The Clients recognised a relatively ground breaking opportunity in the Indian restaurant market, by serving food in an environment where the design of the building and the choice of internal and external finishes could all be considered in equal measures with the quality and service, and the traditional and authentic Indian cooking.

This has very much a joint venture with an inspirational Client who had a limited budget, and our brief was to maximise the potential of a range of relatively inexpensive materials in an imaginative way, to create a finalised product which very much represented value for money. In this respect, the Anarkalie Restaurant was a huge commercial success.
