The Grianan Building
dundee technology park

Built in 1988 as a 'flagship' technology park office, the Grianan building represented a significant departure from the 'lightweight shed' approach so often encountered at the time.

The conceptual approach became the 'model' for many projects elsewhere.

The building is tied to its rural site by robust stonewalls. These form an enclosed car park courtyard providing shelter to the entrance and a unique aesthetic composition in interplay with the streamlined glass pavilion, which serenely sits in the beauty of the uninterrupted surroundings.
